Other bikes you have owned
on: June 06, 2015, 08:21:16 PM
Interesting to see what else you have owned over the years ( or have in your current stable).

Puch MS50D got me started as a 16 year old
Yamaha RS100
Kawazaki A7 350 ( referred to elsewhere as the worst buy)
Yamaha RD400
Yamaha XS750
Suzuki B120 (after I wrote off the above Yamaha)
Yamaha XS400 SECA  Monoshock
Kawazaki GT750 Ruined by me putting on a barn door of a fairing and leaking air shocks)
Ducati 906 Paso ( a pig of a bike which was bought back by the importers / sellers in exchange for..)
Ducati 907i.e. ( a lovely bike which I wish I still had as a 2nd steed)
Suzuki RGV 250P
Honda CBR600F
Honda CBF1000A
Honda VFR1200FD ( My favourite of all time, oops don't let the C.R. hear that.)
Honda VFR800X Crossrunner

Nice to read you list of bikes. I think mine shows my age, quite a few British bikes. One of my favourites was the CX 500 not too exciting but a great commuter. The BMWgs 1200s were great but not as reliable and tough as owners like to pretend, spares and servicing overpriced.

Here are some of the bikes I have owned.
BSA D5 Bantam
Ariel Leader
Royal Enfield Crusader Sports 250 (when they were made in UK)
Yamaha RD 250
Norton 99
Kawasaki 750GT
Honda CX 500
Yamaha FJ 1200 (2 of these)
Triumph Trophy 1200
Triumph Sprint
BMW 650 GT
BMW 800gs
BMW 1200gs (3 of these)
BMW 1200GT
And now a
Honda Crossrunner

Not too many for me either.

50cc Mobylette - what the hell it was usable transport for £10
Kawasaki KH125 - used through most of my yoof, until I could afford a car.  Decent little bike as long as you did not try to exceed 55mph when it would cut out.
VFR 800 FiX - bought new in 2000 and ridden for nearly 15 years until some prick in a white van decided to change lanes without warning as I was filtering past. Fabulous bike and barely run in with only 60,000 on the clock.
CB500S - Bought in 2005 when I was commuting into central London everyday.  Cheap, reliable and a surprisingly brilliant to ride.  One of life's guilty pleasures.  Still in the garage.
CR - Bought to replace the VFR, using as my daily commuter and starting to really enjoy it.

Still should have bought the salvage for the VFR though...
