My new Crossrunner comes with Rider pack as standard which includes 31L Top Box and rear carrier, Akrapovic exhaust, TomTom rider and centre stand. I can get my helmet in the top box but can not shut the lid. Has the dealer given me the correct box? Anyone else had this problem?

Have you tried putting your helmet in on its side?

Yes it is just as bad, I manager to get an old smaller helmet in but I had to force the lid down hard to get it to shut. Just bought a 45 litre Givi box from the sports bike shop.

Standard Honda luggage is quite small these days, but that looks like something designed for a scooter. They do make a 40+ litre topbox but you need a different base plate and it isn't cheap.  Going Givi may be a cheaper option.
I cannot believe the size of the stuff they put on the VFR1200.  Way too small for a big sports tourer.

WOW, i'm tempted to say what size is your helmet? ( but shall resist!  :005:) I have the 31l top box and my lid goes in providing there is nothing underneath. Gloves have to be completely tucked inside as there is no room for anything else, but it does close.

I think I have been a bit unfair, I do have a big helmet. I have since tried it with 3 other helmets and all just fit if as you say if there is nothing else in the box. My flipup helmet seems sits high up on a little ramp on the inside of the box leaving a space under it.

Not unfair. Just how you find it!

I've little doubt you will find other things less than perfect as you put on the miles, doesn't mean you can't love it though  :002:

     hello there.

I have this bike and am looking to get a larger top box but I'm struggling to understand what bits I need to buy in order to get one to fit. I'm looking for a givi top box but all the local bike places to me don't seem to have any idea what plate or fitting kits I need to make it fit.
Could you please point me in the right direction as to how you got yours sorted.

    Cheers.

    Mark.

Go to the My Motorcycle part of the Givi website, select your bike and they will tell what fits and what bits you need to make it fit.

    http://www.givi.co.uk/my-motorcycle

I have a V46 Tech on mine and it is excellent, although it won't hold two large (Schuberth) helmets.

    Thanks for the information.

I did try searching the givi website when using my phone but it looks as if the website isn't very iPhone friendly.

I just logged on using my laptop and can now see I need the givi bars sr1139 and mounting plate. Wish I had tried that a couple of weeks ago.

    Thanks again
