I have 2500 km made so far and consumption 6,4 -7,4 l/100 km. Sounds high to me. How could I check if I have a problem or not?

Hi, I take it you mean per kilometer, if it is per 100 kilometer you have a very economical bike. I generally get 10.5 miles per litre which equals 16.9 kilometres per litre. Are you using high revs all the time, ie., in the VTEC rev range, if so it would explain the high consumption.

IS
a little thirsty. how hard are you riding (what rev. range are you using) and what octane fuel are you using?
can you smell fuel whilst riding?

Frankly I met no particular smell behind, low rev (below 6000) but panniers full. I, eventually, might find also the small OEM windscreen affecting the consumption, I mean by being short, all the wind comes against my chest and maybe is a good reason to waste fuel. I eventually have to change the screen and recheck with no panniers. Honda here is closing the business, but I wonder whether I could do a check somewhere. What should I ask? Have you ever done this?

I don't think its the screen or the panniers. I'm 183cm and 110Kgs and use my bike with top box and panniers. I do get fuel out of the breather pipe from the tank if I over fill it.
I'm not sure what is the correct question other than "it appears to be using too much fuel, can you find out why?"

Hi ccuculas,
My lowest consumption was 5.0 l/100kms and my highest, so far, 5.7 l/100km. I use the full range of rev, and I've done so while commuting. I still didn't go into the highway yet - I've got trip planned soon - and I only have 3200 kms on it.
You can click on my signature to see the details.
I've seen one CR, 2015 model as well, with a consumption of +8l/100kms, but it was while riding it hard during a review. But it doesn't seem to be the case with you.
Some of the Honda NC750X had a defect on the onboard computer which made them read incorrect distances, thus calculating wrong consumptions. Consider, if you aren't already doing it, calculate your average by hand, to discard this possibility.
Cheers
