I haven't read many but I enjoyed Lois on the loose (Lois Pryce) and also enjoyed Long way round by Charlie Boorman an Ewan McGregor.
Both of these are about epic tours - something I haven't been brave enough to do myself yet!

My daughter and I went to a talk by Lois Pryce where she described her recent solo trip around Iran. A very plucky lady with a useful knack for making friends in unlikely places. Suzy who is learning motocross, was quite inspired. We bought her books.

You are not wrong there!
It must have been very interesting listening to her.
I also have Red tape and white knuckles by Lois but have never got around to reading it in the few years I have owned it.
It is about her trip through Africa and I now feel inspired to take it on holiday with me next week so it will be read at last!

Lois books are brilliant, well worth a read.
Also, Geoff Hill. Gobblers Knob and way to go.
and, Michele harrison, all the gear, no idea.

must admit Lois Pryce is great fun to listen to - and Austin her hubby one of the funniest talks I've heard ..but bookwise my vote goes to "The Perfect Vehicle: What it is About Motorcycles" –by Melissa Holbrook Pierson ....read it 3 times ! just evokes what it is about motorcycling - friendship/love of bikes the lot and well written too ...
aside from that all the Jupiter's Travels book series by the one and only Ted Simon ( whom I had the pleasure to hear talk at Coventry transport museum recently) .. great guy and with "jupiter" herself in the museum even better- a great man and great books ..
