Just read a good report on the New Crossrunner in Bike (Dec 15) its up against the Tiger 800XRT and the MV Agusta TV 800 and comes out with 5 out of 5 stars
with the others getting 4's.

Bought December issue to read it ....not the greatest test of the bike ..most of it comes from spec not actual analysis ..rather lazy journalism ..rather expected of the Peterborough boys? Comments like "disappointing name ..underwhelming image "
Actually I have had people say to me that's a beautiful looking bike ..especially from he front ...never had that with a Ducati, moto guzzi or a BMW .......but some how they came to the correct conclusion ..

It was the same when the first model CR came out, the merry men from Peterborough virtually killed it off because they couldn't put it into one of their specific categories, so they slated it instead, funny how all the manufacturers now have a similar model in the range, Hmm.

Talk about 'in the eye of the beholder' I really struggle with the tigers looks - it seems to have the plumbing hanging out of it.
The cr has a pleasing symmetry and a beautiful line, without a gripe the Journo's have no reason to exist.

The Triumph does seem like it comes from the 'That'll do' school of styling: surprised that they didn't include the Tracer in the test as that seems to be the crossrunner's closest rival
It's easier to get more money than it is a day of your life back.

Magic, made the right choice then.
I had a Fazer 600 S2 before the Crossrunner. Looked at a few bikes, but am inexperienced, so just went with what I liked the look of and claimed features etc. If I had been riding for years, then it would have probably been trickier to decide.
