Water spots under Display screen layer

Caught in the rain riding home in a new crossrunner 2015.
Wipe down was done noticed many water spots under the display layer that cannot be wipe. Days later its still there and has become an irritation to the eye sight.
This is not the usual condense moisture.
Have any of you experience this and what do you do?
Thanks for your replies and feedback?

its not normal and you should ask your dealer ... Previous bike I had was a known fault with the model and some of the guys got replacement clocks or cases that would seal better .. but unless you have been pressure washing or using cold water hose on a v hot bike ( condensation of moisture in the air in the clock ? ) I would suggest the dealer ought to give you the best answer...and know what to do or if its necessary ...
please let us know what they say though ? we only learn from others experience ...

Thanks for the reply Adst! Will see the dealer about this. No pressure washing! Just caught in the tropical rain. Will update on the outcome after the New Year!

    Hello...

Same has happened to my 2015, wet ride followed by gentle wash down (no water directed at display). 20 miles into my next ride I noticed water droplets had collected across the lower area of the display screen.

Warranty work needed already to be done in new year.

    Hi Jezride and Mr Kean,

did you manage to get your water problem within the clocks sorted, as mine has just started to have a similar water/moisture film inside the display unit?
Beginning to wonder if it's a design fault with our 2015 models as it is so irritating especially when sunlight catches it?
Would be good to hear from any other 2015 owners as to whether they have had any experience of same and if warranty was used to correct fault, feel better with evidence behind me before I approach dealer.

I've always covered the display when washing so as not to attract/create condensation. Lesson learnt years ago on a Suzuki I owned.

Thanks guys, no news on stolen KLX yet!
    Rob

Awaiting the parts to be from Japan by the HONDA agent.
Seem that they recognized the problem with no questions asked.
Good that its still under warranty.

    Hello Tiggy

Out of curiosity which level do you have your backlit illumination set at for the LCD?

    Mr K,
good question, I don't honestly know but will check tomorrow and get back to you. I'm afraid I don't normally mess with things like TC, ABS, trips, etc. Just ride it as it is, out of the box. I have trouble resetting the clock!
Do you think the brightness could have any effect?
Have you taken yours to a dealer yet, if so was it accepted as a warranty claim, has it been dealt with?

    Tiggy
