Here's a wee write up of a trip across the USA, not on a Crossrunner but on my Transalp.
Something to waste 30 minutes of your life

Wow!
Great adventure and brilliant write up Phil.
Well worth a look everybody.
Took me a bit longer than 30 minutes to look through but time well spent.
I don't see myself ever being able to take on a trip like that but it was great to be able to enjoy it through this amazing write up.

It was a trip of a lifetime and a year of working my nuts off to finance it, made more memorable touring with a great bunch of people I had never met before.

Many thanks for taking the time to post this
You d'man
It only took 21 days to get some fresh fruit! Was taking in Vegas an option?
What's next on the trip list?

The Yanks don't seem to be big on food presentation, tastes ok but it's just like school dinners, slapped onto the plate.
Didn't go to Vegas, didn't have enough time although if I had enough time I still still wouldn't have went, I don't do big towns or cities if I can avoid them.
This year will be a camping trip in mainland europe, nothing really planned just heading south east from Cherbourg for 3 weeks in June.

Around 62p a mile, which covered the shipping of the bike, the services of Chris organising everything, insurances, flights, hotels, food, drink, entrance into the national parks / places of interest and petrol.
I would say value for money for a trip of a lifetime
Feel free to have a browse through some of my other trips, it may give some of you hints for new places to visit.

I would say that is really good value for, as you say, the trip of a lifetime.
I'm convalescing from an op at the moment so I shall take a peek at the other trips.
I need to get away this year on the bike.
