New Crossrunner in Amsterdam
on: February 06, 2016, 11:09:01 AM
Hi everyone,

I just joined the club yesterday when I took delivery of my brand new Crossrunner. I got the bike from Rijssen (NL) and drove all the way back to Amsterdam on a shitty weather, however the bike behaved exceptionaly.

After getting my motorbike licence last autumn i went on and tested a bunch of bikes and the CR was by far the best of the bunch. I was never before so sure about a purchase and didn't have to think twice about other bikes.

I am new ridder and is my first bike so bear with me. I named my bike "Egoless" and that's because when we go ride together, the ego stays at home. I am sure this will make every ride less dangerous but as much fun as I had during the extended testdrive.

I got the adventure package for free + quickshifter (which is awesome btw)

Below some first pictures of Egoless.

Hi Mihal and welcome to our small, but steadily growing community.

Great bike and well done on getting the adventure pack.

Will you use Egoless for adventures?

Rob

Pictures were not attached in my first post, now they are.

Some conclusions after the first 300km:

Pros:
Impresive power (didn't go over 6500rpm yet)
Quickshifter is smooth as butter
Very nice sound from the exhaust
Very nimble
Handle warmers are great
All cases very easy to remove and put back (all with the ignition key)
Self canceling turn signal work great

Cons:
Wind protection at higway speed needs to improve
Rear brake needs serious push down (probably because is new)
Anemic horn
7,5l/100km fuel consumption
Dashboard visible vibrates at acceleration from low rpm

For now I am not thinking about adventures yet, I live in the Netherlands, this country is as flat as a snooker table :).
