    Made the swop!

    Howdy boys and girls...

    Inztigator from Sydney, Australia.

Well, finally picked up my 2015 CR. It was a demo bike with 99kms and will be taking it for a proper ride tomorrow.

Traded in a 2015 VFR800 that I bought new but only had for 2 months  :003: Unfortunately my childhood dream bike just didn't work out. After only 30 minutes on the bike my fingers would go numb on my right hand. After 2 hours of saddle time, my a$$ would be on fire.

Looking forward to being able to ride the CR  :046:

Shame about the VFR800, didn't realise they had vibes, lets hope the CR will prove to be smooth........

99kms.. nice! My ex-demo came with 1700 miles!

On the subject of vibes.. mine does vibrate a little bit through the footpegs at around 3500rpm - is that normal?

That said, as I'm getting used to riding it, I'm remembering it's not a twin or a triple and that I need to rev it a bit harder...  :138:

No VFR800 should have vibes that bad.  Maybe something not right with the RHS bar end?  Did the dealer look at it or was the riding position just too uncomfortable?  That was certainly the clincher for me when comparing the CR and another VFR800.

It was definitely not the vibes, at least I never felt any. It had to have been the aggressive sporty riding position.

    Hi

    Welcome to the forum  :400:

Aching wrists and numb hands are what drove me away from sports styled bikes too!

I find the Crossrunner much better in that respect and feel safer as I find it much easier to look around in the more relaxed upright position.

I hope it works out for you too!

    Welcome to the forum.

Is there anything you preferred or miss from your short time on the VFR800F.

Thanks for the welcome all :)

Managed to do a short 150km ride today, and what a difference! No numb fingers, or sore wrists. Upright position is definitely the answer.

So far, I can easily say the one thing I do miss from the VFR800F is the wind buffering. Not use to my head shaking around like a bobbin  :008: and will be looking at a taller windscreen. Other than that, I couldn't find anything else that the VFR800F has on the CR.

I made some improvement to the buffeting on mine with an Ermax screen in conjunction with a Palmer adjuster but it's not solved it completely just moved it from my head to my chest.

Still it's probably for the best as it keeps my speed down a bit!

I have heard some good things on the forum about the Pyramid screen and wind deflectors so may try those when funds allow.
