Exhaust Header Leak

Just oiling the chain last night and noticed a bit of browny black residue on the lower side of the rear clutch side exhaust header (near the front sprocket). Bike runs fine and is quiet; don't suppose anyone else has this as I'm not sure if it's chain lube fling.

Not noticed any on my headers as described, sorry Mr K. but could be as you say, chain lube fling.

How and with what are you lubing, a commercial chain spray/wax or manually applied oil, like EP80?  :016:
