Polisport Sharp hardguards
on: April 09, 2016, 11:24:08 AM
Just a quick note to anyone wondering whether these guards might fit a 2015 Crossrunner... the answer is No, not without modification. Main problem is clearance of the hydraulic clutch reservoir, and to a much lesser extent the same applies to the brake fluid reservoir.

Given that they were only 20 quid, and in the interests of not spending 4 times as much on a set of guards that are known to fit, I'm going to try and modify them to fit... I predict occurrences of swearing and possibly blood. I'll report back on my findings, once I've regained the ability to type.
Current: BMW R1200RS, 2003 Yamaha TDM900
Past: Honda CLR125, Honda CB500, Triumph Sprint Sport, Honda VFR750FS, Suzuki DRZ400SM, 2001 Triumph Speed Triple 955i, 2015 Honda VFR800X

No blood was spilled, and no profanities were uttered... but the end result was that I gave up. They need too much modification on the clutch side, and my slightly dropped handlebar meant that even if fitted, they'd hit the tank way before full lock.

Back to square one.  :151:

Fitted the Givi handguards to mine, bike specific and simple fit, think I paid about £70.
