Hello from Czech
on: August 21, 2016, 08:51:15 AM
Got my '15 CR after changing it for my NC750S. NC series is a good bike for those returning to motorcycling after many years (my case) however after 10k+ km on it I realised it's kind of dangerous for the biker. Even VW 1.6TDI accelerates faster and constant checking rear mirrors for cagers who attempt hitting me or overtake me persuaded me to change. CR has been my dreambike ever since it has been released. So why wait? :-)
Got one slightly used (2300km) from local dealer in exchange for the NC.
And I am happy I must say!
It's a real piece of bike, V4 is great, above 7k rpm even better, bike great for long distance travel (did 700km in 1 day so far when returning from Hungary in heavy rain) as well as commuting and riding in city traffic.
There are some issues I'd like to solve such as hard to define vibrations at 2500rpm, water getting under pillion seat, rattling sound of plastic? or so when going on a bad road etc (any ideas why and how?) but over all... Great bike in my opinion.
So let's enjoy rest of the summer and hopefully nice autumn on two wheels:-)

hello robb,
i have also some plastic rattling noise on the bumpy roads. probably is coming out of the cockpit.... or the windscreen is causing it: start shaking and then bring over the vibes to the rest of the plastics. try to hold the screen while driving, so you can feel the difference...

:400: Hi Robb, I too am changing from a NC750 (X) to a VFR 800X, a sensible and natural progression, quality, fit, comfort, performance.
Enjoy your new bike.  :062:
