    Hello, I'm new!

Hello all, I am Longtimerider, pleased to meet you.    :046:

I have owned a Honda NC 750X dct for 2 years (14,000 miles on the clock) and have ordered a new Crossrunner (in white) to be collected 16th Sept when I get back from a trip on the NC to Monaco via the Swiss alps.  I also have a 2016 CB 500F in yellow which is gorgeous.

I have been riding on and off for 53 years and have owned too many bikes to list but I did have a new VFR 800 1998 version for a couple of years - didn't like the linked brakes or the snatchy fueling). Having tested a new VFR 800X, I am thrilled with the feel and ride and can't wait to get it home.

I look forward to an interesting association with you on this forum and will get some photos up as soon as I learn how to do it - I failed miserably on the NC700 forum, never did get it to work, so I may need some help!
    Regards,
    Longtimerider

Yep, I've ordered the following to augment the std goodies included by Honda:-
Givi engine bars with led fogs.
    Givi hand guards.
    Givi tall screen.
    Honda hugger and 12V socket.
    Pyramid fender extender.
    Tank pad.
    Loob man oiler.
    Goop in the tyres.
I considered having the quick shifter, but the sales guy who rides one said it encourages him to ride like a loon, so for now, I'm leaving that off. I have SWMotech Blaze pannier bags, so that will save me paying the rediculous price for the Honda ones. I found them very good on my NC 750X, and all I had to do was get the fitting kit for the Crossrunner, £102 inc postage. I will let you know how they work on the CR later.
    Regards,
    Longtimerider

    What's a lobo man oiler?

I've got the blaze's on my mk1 - 1st time I've had panniers amazing improvement in handling by keeping the weight lower and nice not to have the plumbing on show when not

Great, let us all know how you get on with the extras etc.

The hugger and fender extender are well worth it, many here have also fitted the rad guards too, as one guy holed his.

    Hello Reasty,
Have a look at this:- http://loobman.co.uk/  You can see one on the CB 500F pic above.  They are only £20 and work fine. Easy to install and use.  I have a Scottoiler E on my NC 750 with the console mounted inside the LH handguard, but at £200, I will make do with a Loobman on the CR.  I had a Scottoiler V (over £100 these days) on a previous VFR that worked fine, but they are not suitable for the latest fuel induction systems on CRs I think.
Pay proper attention to the mounting instructions and you can't go wrong.  :211:

Yes, I may well fit a Rad guard to the top rad, the bottom rad seems to have a plastic guard - I wonder how strong that will be? Any details on the one damaged rad you know about?
    Regards,
    Longtimerider
