    High beam headligt flickering

    Hi All

I just purchased a 2011 Crossrunner.  Major difference compared to my previous Yamaha FZ6 Fazer – of course ☺

However I do have  a small problem, that might take some time to solve. I hope someone in here have the experience to be able guide me.

The high beam light is flickering, because the bulb is not fixed properly in the  headlight..
The two socket flaps inside the headlight is not tightened properly.
And as you probably know, there is no room for tools. So I need to remove the headlight to be able to tightened the flaps.
But how much must I disassemble to remove headlight ?????

PS :It would be nice to have a workshop manual, but so far I have not found one.  ☺

    Best Regards

There are Owners Manuals online for 2011+ and 2015+ bikes, but sadly there do not seem to be any Workshop Manuals.

The Owners Manual is worth having digitally if only so you can enlarge the crappy diagram that shows how to get the panels off to something like readability.

    Hi Dave.
Ok, thanks. Yes the Owners Manual is showing basic disassembling. But going further, it would be nice to know up front, what you need to take apart, and also what you don´t need to take apart  :027:

There are workshop manuals available, but sadly you have to pay to access them online.

    Hi again

I just found a spare part picture at motorcyclespareparts.eu
If the VFR800x was a naked bike, it would be very easy to remove the headlight. But in this case, it will take "a few" more hours to do the job.
