Top Sellerie seat
on: September 09, 2016, 12:32:22 PM
Well the new seat is SO GOOD it was deserving of it's own topic and post. It is a revelation! Not only has it put my bum and legs in a more comfortable position, but it has also stopped the slipping forward and pressure points which build up during a      -     l  -   o -    n  -   g  -    ride!
OK it might seem like a lot of money (£260 for raised and lengthened and gel insert for the rider) but WOW is it worth it  YES!

As an added bonus the quality build ( it weighs much more than the original) also stiffens up the wings which clip onto the tank so that now the new seat sits correctly and stays clipped in.

If you are not completely happy with your seat, these seats are a great option, when searching for reviews on line the build quality is criticised, I have to say it I can see no reason for this, it is built to a standard way beyond that produced by the big H.

hey!
i am also thinking about replacing the original seat, specially the buddy seat seems to be too hard...
did you need to send your original seat to Top Sellerie or is it a complete new one?
on my previous bike (FJR), i have replaced also the normal one by a Top Sellerie gel seat without sending the original one. indeed fantastic difference!price was ofcourse higher because it was a new seat but i have sold the FJR in original shape and sold the gelseat seperate afterwards for more than the price-difference  :001:  :001:

I sent my old seat once I had received the new one.
There have three choices.
Buy new one outright.
Send your old one to be refurbished
Or send your old seat once you have received your new one.
