Hi, I have just bought a 2016 800x having recently sold my  2014 VFR800F, due to me finding its ergonomics a bit wanting for someone of my age.
All I have done to it so far is fitted the OEM mainstand and an Akrapovic exhaust.
I have had 7 vfrs over the years and still have a mint 95 VFR750 race replica.
I am enjoying the new bike so far, and look forward to participating in the discussions.

7 VFRs?  Is that some sort of a record?  Welcome!

    Welcome mate!

I too came from a 2015 VFR800F which I had for two months before moving onto a 2015 Crossrunner! VFR800F was a very uncomfortable ride :(

    2015 VFR800F, 2013 CBR500R, 2010 CBR600RR, 2008 GSXR600

I had the 800F for 2 years and thought it was a good bike as long as you could keep the pace up, but it became uncomfortable in traffic and going down hill under braking. I did a tour of Tassie on it and it performed faultlessly really, even did 800Km days but my situation was I had the 750F which I dont want to part with and the 800F as well was 2 bikes too similar.
I was able to sell it at a good price and was tossing up between the crossrunner and a MT09 tracer, but the crossrunner was $3K cheaper and has the V4 and its a Honda and somehow couldn't could not come to terms with the appearance of the tracer, (plus its a Yamaha).

    Hi from Up Over!

I recently changed from a Vtec ('08 VFR800) to an 800X because the riding position was causing issues for me on my daily 105-mile commute.

    An excellent decision.

    Welcome.  :400: :031:
    98 VFR800 - 130,000 miles, 08 VFR800 - 76,000 miles, 15 VFR800X - 44,000 miles (all sold)
    14 VFR1200 - 20,000 miles
    18 VFR800X - 16,000 miles
    01 VFR800 Fi-1 - 9000 miles
