Stock chain - riveted or not?!
on:

When you purchased your CR 2015, did you have a link-less chain, or was it a riveted one??
Every motorcycle I've purchased in the past, provided the chain hadn't been replaced, was shipped with a link-less chain, however my 2015 CR was riveted.
I am interested to see other riders responses

My 2015 Crossrunner came with a riveted link, as opposed to the old fashioned removable link.
That is it in the original state after 7000 miles.

It was all ACF50's fault

I assume that is a clean chain without any riding what so ever? I can clean my chain to look like that, but within a few kilometres the rear sprocket teeth turn black from what I can only assume is the rollers
And I have some tight spots after only 12000kms.

It's true, that image is after a good clean but 7000 miles in from new I guarantee. I cover almost everything with ACF50 (brakes and tyres excluded!) and when necessary wash it off with Muc-Off, reapply the '50 and lube the chain with a dry chain spray.

I've seen Tiggy's bike first hand and it does still look like new.
