Akrapovic vs Arrow

Hi all, Happy new year. I am looking at installing a sporty muffler on a vfr800x crossrunner. Due to sound quality issues listening to youtube clips it is hard to make a choice. Which pipe is considered the best sounding between Acrapovic and Arrow. Would you say there is much difference in sound and are these 2 pipes considered the best.
Cheers from Australia.

Hi Bris & welcome to the site.
My 2015 Cr came with the Akrapovic fitted and I have to admit I'm not much of a fan. I don't understand why Honda offered it as a choice unless it does something to the fuelling to make the bike smoother or something. I don't think it looks particularly good and the sound is nothing to write home about. It's also difficult to keep clean and looking good. It's probably a bit lighter than the oem can, but that's the only thing I can think of that makes it better.
I'm afraid I can't help with the Arrow can.
Have you considered
DAM
? I have one on my 1200 and it's a beautiful design and sounds fantastic with the spud both in and out.
All JMHO, of course.

I put the Two Brothers on mine and it is awesome. Great sound and good looking. It is the pipe for the VFR800i Interceptor and the dealers will tell you it won't fit your bike but it does and it is a great exhaust. I can't put a pic up on here right now from my phone but if I get on the computer soon I'll post one up

Thanks for the replies, here in Australia the bike is only sold with a standard pipe & not a Acrapovic. It seems it might be a waste of time spending £500 on one.

Im in Sydney and I got quoted about $1200 for the Akrapovic and I got the Two Brothers for $600ish. I don't think the Akrapovic is worth the extra price and I have heard it isn't that much louder.

Hey BrisVFR, I have the Akra pipe fitted (I'm in Sydney) and it isn't a loud pipe at all. It was designed to conform to the noise standards (homologated for Honda) but IHMO, it does look better than standard, but then, any other pipe would ha ha.
