Farewell
on: January 16, 2017, 09:45:13 AM
Well folks, after 28 months with my 2011 Xrunner it's time for a change. Swapped my runner for a Ducati Multistrada at the weekend. now I'm sure there will be some of you who will throw your arms in the air and say I've made a mistake, only time will tell. I've enjoyed my time riding the runner, covering some 12,000 miles, commuting, touring and riding with my local advanced group.During the time I've had her (Oh, she's most certainly female) she's cost me £200 to have a burnt out wiring loom repaired (Honda UK and the dealer I bought her from, Sutton Honda, Bromsgrove, were useless, unhelpful and denied any responsibility for an obvious build fault), New chain and sprockets at £130 (sprockets are us based in Evesham, who were a pleasure to d business with) and New front pads at £80 fitted.
So, now a new love affair (my wife is very understanding) with my new bright red Italian lady.  Happy riding folks.

First impressions are good. Though producing slightly less BHP than the Honda there is much more torque. seat height is about 35mm higher and riding position is not quiet as upright as the runner. balance and handling  is great and the bike feels less top heavy.  Has to be accepted it's a very different machine to the runner but what is great is that everything is easily accesable, plugs, filters etc and suspension is fully adjustable too.
Safe riding.
