New Mk 1 owner
on: March 25, 2017, 05:08:31 PM
Hi guys, just collected a nice low mileage 2011 to downsize from my R1150RT.
Must admit I really enjoyed the ride home and looking forward to many miles on this bike. Unfortunately it's only 1000 miles off it's first big 16K valve service which kind of grates!

Couple of observations, I have the infamous seat coming unclipped at the front problem and the throttle return spring seems far too strong to me.

Any recommended fixes for these niggles would be gratefully received. Perhaps posting these questions in the main forum might be a better move?

Hi Miggs. - welcome, a gr8 choice. I love the CR classique (i.e. Mk1!)
Not had a problem, with the throttle but l concur with the front clips, l line it up and hold it in on one side with my knee and use my left hand on the other side. Right hand is then used to push it down.
