Akrapovic exhaust - spud removal

I'm trying to remove the spud from my Akrapovic exhaust without any luck. I've removed the retaining bolt but the spud refuses to move, even a little bit. I've tried pulling it with pliers it but all that has done is marked it and bent it a little.
Any useful advice greatly appreciated?

Soak in WD40/ACF50/Penetrating Oil? Sliding a robust piece of wood into the exhaust, angling it and using it to pull the spud out? Differential heating?

The spud? Assuming you mean the baffle.. I recall someone on here mentioning that it had a spot of weld to the exhaust, just to make sure. Never tried it myself, so I could be talking bollocks as per usual.

So.....easy to break? Has anyone else removed the spud from their Akra?

What was you rationale to remove the baffle ???
If it was to relive your youth did it work
Was the noise acceptable was there any change in performance and fuel economy
Cheers

Bottomline is that you can always put it back in if you don't like the sound

Hi Newbs. No, not re-visiting my youth, mainly for safety reasons.....Loud Cans Save Lives!
Or at least they can be part of a set of mitigating measures to help prevent accidents.
I believe that less restrictive exhausts systems allow the VFR fuelling to smooth out more, meaning less low rpm snatchiness and better pick up. Not sure if it affects fuel consumption though.
