Hi My name is John from Nether Kellet just off J35 (Carnforth) on the M6 Motorway. I have just purchased my 2015 Pearl White Crossrunner. I traded my VFR1200F in as I just couldn't get comfortable on it so I went for the more sit up and beg style of the crossrunner. So far loving it but the more I use it the the more I will get to know about it. Thanks for having me on the forum  :028:

    Hi and welcome.  :031:

Interesting shift of bikes. Did you consider the Crosstourer as well as the Crossrunner?

I'm not sure I could do without the brute torque & power of my 1200, or even the somewhat reduced power output of the 1200X.

If you can manage with the reduced go forward, I'm sure you'll grow to love the 800X, it's a great bike.

No problem to be honest. Yes the 1200 was a rocket ship and went like stink but I couldn't ride it more than 30 miles without losing all feeling in my fingers and a very achy arse. The Crossrunner pulls fine with me and the Mrs on board and has all day comfort for me. It has the rider pack which means I've got the akrapovic can, centre stand, top box and mounting for my tom tom. Can't wait to put some miles on her 😊😊😊

Sounds like the same bike as mine. I swapped my 08 VFR800 for the X last year as I had the same issues on my 50-mile commute to work. Problem has now gone.

I still have the 1200 and can't consider losing her, but if I find I have the same issues on a couple of holidays I have planned on her then I may have to consider swapping her for a 1200X.
