I've seen a couple of posts about tank pads on the forum so I thought I would try and upload a couple of pictures of the one I fitted last night. It's a Motografix one. They are based in Rotherham. It wasn't on their website but I work with Nephew of the guy who owns Motografix

Niiiiice.
Are they generally available do you know, or was it just for a mate?
What make are those knee grips? Are they grippy material or just a protector like the back one? I'm still looking for a decent set of knee grips for mine; I'd like TechSpec Snake Skin ones like I have on my 1200 but they don't make them for the 15+ model.

Yes they are generally available. If you ring Motografix then Mark will sort you out. The tank pad and knee grips all come as one on a board. The knee pads are made of the same stuff as the tank pad. Might be a bit too bling for some but I love the design of it.

I know they're designed as paint protectors, but do the knee pads offer any form of knee grip?
I really want some TechSpec Snakeskin pads like I have on my 1200 but they don't do them for the 800X 15+ model and those you have look really good, so if the knee pads do provide some grip, I may well invest in a set.

I can't really say I've noticed whether they are grippy or not but I would say they offer a lot more grip than the painted tank. I'm out tomorrow night for a run out so I'll take a bit more notice and let you know
