I don't know if others have found this to be a problem, but for a while I've been thinking the Rider's footrest position is a little high and cramped even with the seat in its upper position, so have fitted the "Jaws" Footrest lowering kit from my Blackbird onto the CR where it fits perfectly and lowers the footrests by approximately 25mm. These cost £34.80 from
http://www.jaws-motorcycles.co.uk/bird2.htm#lowers
It's surprising the difference 25mm can make.

Did you have any problem running out of adjustment on the gear and brake pedals (and brake light) John?
I've had this problem before (not on a Crossrunner)
Thanks
Graham

Hi Graham,
Thanks for your reply and because of this I re-checked the amount of thread holding the gear change linkage in position and there is plenty of thread in both of the Rose joints. I have the gear lever set so that there is an equal gap above and below for my booted toe. The Brake pedal was already in about its lowest position and didn't need adjusting, likewise the Brake light switch.
Hope this helps.
John.

After seeing Johns pics I took a punt and bought a set for my mark 1.
I had previously looked at the eBay versions but they all look like an add on in view of different colours and a smaller foot peg than standard.
Pleased to say the jaws product fitted and uses the original peg. Minor change to the gear lever angle but I found the 25mm drop on the brake pedal better than the original so no change needed.
As someone has said only a small change but gives an entirely different feel to the riding position.
Service from jaws was very good and they are beautifully made😍

Hi Reasty,
Pleased you are happy with the Jaws Peg lowering kit, I didn't know if they would fit the Mk1. but good that they do. I've covered a couple of thousand miles since fitting mine and just take them for granted now, far better for my knees! Even the Dealer who carried out my 8,000 mile Service didn't realise they were third party.
I've bought quite a few parts from Jaws for my Blackbird and have always been pleased with both service and quality.
