GPS bracket Crossrunner 2015 >>
on: July 25, 2017, 08:02:09 PM
I bought the SW Motech GPS bracket for my crossrunner.
I did have a RAM-mount on the steering, but did not like it.
I had to look down everytime I wanted to know the route.

Well... it was quite a challange with the GIVI -airflow making things more complicated.

Switched 12V powerline

Givi on top of GPS bracket... holes didn't line up

I'm done with it, for now.
Next to do is find out, how to get the GPS closer to the windscreen.
It is functional now, let the GPS driving begin.

Hi Lampie I have the same bracket I have removed the 3 rubber grommets from the quick release bracket to reduce bounce and re drilled the mounting holes further back on the arms that bolt to the screen bracket moving the whole thing nearer the screen much better now, a nice piece of kit but IMHO over engineered same as the powerbronze screen bracket too heavy.

Today, first testdrive with the Tomtom...  :230:  that thing vibrates....

@home I removed the triangle with rubber grommets, and put in a M6 bolt to fix it.
Saturday  to the TT-circuit in Assen (Netherlands) , lots of bikes, karts, cars , girls   :007:

Can you tell me if your adjustable screen system it's from powerbronze?
And the gps holder it's from sw motech?
I have the powerbronze system and I'm searching a GPS holder, for a Garmin Zumo 595.

As mentioned in the first post it is a givi airflow screen and a sw motech gps-bracket.

I'm sorry for insisting.
I saw that you have the GIVI Airflow screen, but the support base you have installed (that metal base system that allows you to adjust the slope and the height of the main screen) seems to me of Powerbronze. I have an equal and when searching in GIVI I do not find this article.
GIVI sells the dual screen (Airflow system) but not the metal base to attach to the bike.
I may be wrong! The fact is that it seems exactly the same as mine (produced by Powerbronze).

Ah, the metal bit! That is probably from Palmer Products.

Thank you.
Did you have to make aditional holes in the metal? Or did you manage to install everything without opening holes?
That is my fear :006:

I bought the bike used, so I don't know if screen and frame belong together.
I had to re-drill 2 holes in the SW motec , holes didn't line up with the thicker frame of the Givi .

I'm using it for more than a year now, it is working , and I am happy with the result
