Hello from Northumberland

Hi everyone,
just come across this forum so i'm busy reading every post.
Got a 66 plate CR in October last year and love it although it was close between the Runner and Tourer but the Vtec won me over.
Added the handguards, hugger, mudguard extender and MRA Vario screen
Still to do: 12v/USB socket & panniers

Hi , welcome to the forum.
I bought my Crossrunner 3 wks ago .
Have done over 400 miles so far , and l am very pleased with it .
Mine was a ex-demo with 500 miles on the clock . It came with the rider pack .
I have added the the panniers , crash bars ,and Givi handguards .
I live in North Tyneside, so not far from you .

Please excuse my ignorance - so you're saying the 1200 isn't Vtec?
Just curious

I had the the VFR 1200 for 3 years and the Crosstourer uses a detuned version of that engine . It is not a VTEC it is however a V4 .

Yes it's not Vtec although it is a V4 configuration - had it been the Vtec i'd probably have gone with it

Not far at all Robert although i've not seen another CR when i'm out and about.
I'm looking at the Givi crashbars and really fancy the panniers although reluctant to pay Honda's prices

The panniers are pricey. I had them on my VFR 1200 , quality bit of kit , no ugly pannier frames , they just clip on, there is also the cost of the locks they are not included in the price . Bought mine when a got the bike dealer give me 10 % off .
Also got the GIVI engine bars ,they look great on the bike .
Cheers Robert
