Yet another Cr owner from Weymouth. Just recently got mine, enjoying getting to explore the bikes capabilities. Spent a few years in the dark side with a 1200 gs but have now seen the light.

Hi TonyE and welcome to the group.
Interesting that you have come from a 1200 GS to the CR as some of my friends have been trying to get me to move the opposite way. Any particular reasons for moving from the GS or just fancying a change?

Well I fancied a change after having the gs for 9 years. Got a good deal from Bransons on the 2015 bike, which had a lot of extras as part of the package. I had a vfr 750 before and always loved the engine and build quality. The gs's are deservedly popular, however they are not without fault and you may have to factor in high service/ maintenance costs. Ukgser has a lot of info on gs ownership. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info Tony, I found the GS Forum and have been looking round it, but feel the qualities of the GS don't justify the expense involved. That is the loss on a one year old CR plus the extra to find for a decent GS. Besides I'm really happy with the CR. Think it's just the itch to switch, which needs to be overcome.
