Pannier Compatibility across models

Evening all,
I've had very little luck so far finding a set of panniers to go with my 2012 CR. New aftermarket sets are easy but I'd like a set of the genuine Honda ones if possible as the bike already has the fittings, they look good, are slim and they offer plenty capacity for my needs.
Can anyone confirm if the panniers for the 2015 model will fit a 2012? Also I've read that the VFR1200F panniers fit the 2015s so will these fit the MK1?
If I can't find a set I'll probably end of with the SW Motech Blaze panniers instead.
Cheers.

I have owned a VFR 1200 with panniers , and now have a 2016 Crossrunner and the panniers look the same to me , maybe you could ask a Honda dealer ?
There are sometimes used ones on Flea-bay .
Cheers Bob

The 1200F panniers fit the 2015 Crossrunner (I have both bikes), but there is a minor issue with the exhaust heat plate, I think. I have no idea how the pre-15 models are configured so can't help with that.

18 VFR800X - 16,000 miles

If you want to ride to my gaff (5 mins from J10 of the A1) you can try mine, or go to your nearest Honda dealer and check there, if they have a 1200F or 800X/F in, or take a photo of yours and post on here.

Cheers for the offer, but I'm in Glasgow so it would be a bit of a ride. I might try popping into the local dealer but they're usually not the most helpful bunch!

I managed to borrow a pannier for a VFR1200 today. Fit my MK1 Crossrunner no peiblem. So for info on the mk1 and MK2 Crossrunner panniers are interchangeable S are the VFR1200 panniers.

Just a note on the Blaze panniers - I was slightly horrified by the price of Honda luggage, so I bought a set of Blaze panniers for a trip into France last week, and I was very impressed. Easy to fit and to use. Happy trails, everyone.

Agree re blaze
Nice to not have bulky frames and clips when not in use as well

I've been lucky enough to find a set of white Honda panniers on eBay. They arrive in a few days. Can't wait!

No help to the OP I'm afraid but the 2015 panniers are lush. Fit really nicely - slightly wider than I expected (wider than the handlebars) but beautifully made.
Based on the pictures of this 2012 with luggage my guess is that the VFR1200 and newer 2015+ luggage is unlikely to fit:

The panniers look bigger and don't seem to make the same use of the rear footpeg holder to help stabilise the pannier. That is just a guess though. Can a Honda dealer not compare part numbers for you?
