Don't know about the best, but as you have a Mk1 CR your cheapest option is to buy a VFR800 VTEC one from a scrapyard/EBay.  Make sure it comes with all the fitments and springs and it should fit with no problems.  It will raise the rear wheel about an inch off the ground, not as high as some others, but enough to remove it. You should be able to get a clean, rust free one for around £30.

I agree with Si, any stand from an 02-13 model VFR800 should fit.
