Crossrunner Fork Oil Weight

Afternoon folks,
Just thought I would post this for info as I struggled to find a definitive answer via email Google.
Honda recommend 10wt fork oil for the MK1 and MK2 Crossrunner. This was confirmed by two separate Honda dealers.
The workshop manuals for the VFR that I found just stated 'Honda fork fluid' or the Honda SS8 stuff (which I think is actually 7.5wt). Anyhow, confirmed by the dealers that 10wt is what Honda specify for the Crossrunners.
I'm planning different springs in the future but suffered a seal failure yesterday and need my bike back on the road tomorrow evening at the latest so no time to play about!

I've been thinking about fork oil weight in a newly bought 2011-2014 RC60.
It was registered in 2012 in New Zealand.
We use kilometres here and the bike had only done 6300+kms.
Riding it home (a journey of 490+kms), and a rider training course, felt the front was a bit 'rigid'.
Advice wanted - should I think about getting fork oil changed?
Keep in mind that some if the roads less travelled here equate to the modern version of 'zero maintenance', at best 'patchwork quilt'
I've already arranged to have all fluids changed, filters checked and the radiator fan checked as it doesn't seem to be working.
Cheers.

Hello lads,
I own a '12 CR and I need to replace oil and dust seals and of course, the oil. So it's quite clear that the oil should be 10wt.
The question is, how much?
thanks from Chile

Found out the real issue was tyre pressures too low (24F/27R).
Pumped tyres up to book (33F/36R), most issues went away.
Elsewhere here, it's recommended 36F/42R - which is what all of my previous bikes (except an SV650), have been set at.
About the fork oil issue - 10wt seems to be the 'go' (choice).
I'm unsure of qty though - maybe Google or Honda USA maybe able to help you.

For some reason the mkl Crossrunner doesn't run 36/42, from memory think its 32/36?

My owners handbook says 33F/36R is the recommended tyre pressures.
A few posts on another subject seem to suggest 36F/42R might be the way to go.
But glad to see that at least one person (other than me
), reads their owners handbook

Same tiresizes + same bikeweight - lower tirepressure = not logical
Stop making sense

I think the consensus is that the book is wrong as every ST bike out there has 36/42 pressures and every VFR800/750 before yours too.
But, it's your bike.....
98 VFR800 - 130,000 miles, 08 VFR800 - 76,000 miles, 15 VFR800X - 44,000 miles (all sold)
14 VFR1200 - 20,000 miles
18 VFR800X - 16,000 miles
01 VFR800 Fi-1 - 9000 miles

Yes Skids - I'm going for the 36/42 combo on the OE Scorpions, but will be changing tyres to 'pure road' soon.
