Akropovik 2015 and 2017on

when thinking of changing to a 2019 Crossrunner from my 2015 .. I thought swap the Akro onto new one ... but no they are apparantly different ( different model no ) and the new one is euro compliant the old one not ..hence if you do swap you may (will) void your warranty ( so says one dealer ) and not another who was happy to charge to swap ( and offer 700 less for trade in) any one out there heard any different tales?

I think the main differnce is that on a Euro4 bike the dB-killer must be welded in (or at least not easy removable). Apart from that I doubt there is any difference.

interesting reply .I am sure you are most likely right .but if that is all then surely it would not affect warranty?

I guess the dealer is just covering his arse, for the unlikely event something goes south.
Or he just wants to sell u a new exhaust.
Haven't u got the original exhaust from your '15 cr, u can do the swapping yourself.

My 2015 also has 26k (miles) on the clock, but I can't think of a reason to trade it in for a new one. And normally I'd buy a new/other bike every 2 or 3 years.

exactly my thoughts...26k in netherlands easier to do ...Germany / Denmark / Norway for weekends! or just flat daily commutes? ... either way the crosser does it easy!

Norway for weekends is quiet optimistic (unrealistic even!).
But where I live is a rather uninspiring part of the Netherlands. Germany, Belgium and even France are quiet close and fun to drive, and we don't have to book a ferry...
That said, I do like biking in the UK, have been to Cumbria, yorkshire dales, peak district, dartmoor, exmoor, cotswolds, norfolk broads etc. over the last 10 years. It is a very lovely country! I know not all of Britain is great (I've been to Blackpool and Isle of Sheppey as well....) but still.
Would be nice to have a crossrunner doooooo and rideout in Kent.
