Gday from Australia
on: May 24, 2019, 04:19:43 AM
Gday to the knowledgeable.
I have just purchased a 2011 crossrunner with 6k kilometres, yep.
Previous owner had issues with the seat height and had two no speed tumbles.

Ive been reading this great resource i have a couple of questions.

Did the 2011 have centre stand?
Does the 2011 have a height adjustable seat?

Whats the current thoughts on lowering an 2011?

Anyone fitted oxford heated grips? Is there any issues doing this.

GPS mounts any suggestions

I hope this isnt too rude to ask these questions.

I have had lots of bikes i am hoping the crossrunner will be my one bike back to the universal japanese motorcycling.

Regards
Phil.

I have an 08 vfr800 do the crossrunners  have the rectifer/ stator issues ?

Hi Phil.

Your X is basically the same bike as your 08, which didn't suffer from the same reg/rec issues as earlier models.

As I don't own an 11 X, I am reluctant to answer many of your other questions, but I think a centre stand was standard, no I don't believe the seat height is adjustable as standard, Oxford grips should be easy to fit as long as you are reasonably competent and there are loads of ways to mount a GPS; mine is a RAM mount onto the bars but you can get a Telferizer that mounts onto the centre of the triple clamp....I have one on my 1200.

Welcome to the site, pics would be great when you get the bike.  :031: :400:
