Hello from Derby
on: June 10, 2019, 09:58:40 PM
Hi from the East Midlands. Love the CR, bought brand new model and rate it highly. Had loads of bikes still have a few, but for me this bikes quality oozes through. It is for a modern bike made very well, top of the tree. I have had its big brother in the past with the 1200 VFR to be frank a disappointment for me, did not rate the engine as much as my 2006 VFR let alone the latest variant of this brilliant engine.

I am lucky can call on a few different bikes but if it was down to one here it is. You can do all with this bike aprt from green laning !

Hi there and welcome.

You sound very happy with your purchase.  :152:

Can't help but disagree about the 1200 though.  :156: :031:
1 VFR simply isnt enough! Crossrunner for commuting, VFR1200F for summer fun.

Cheers for the welcome,
the VRF 1200 and for that matter the Crosstourer are big heavy beasts. The VFR 12 I had was like a barge in comparison with my original VFR 800 and would be eaten on most roads bar a straight blast by the later CR. The 12 was a major disappointment IMHO OK it had grunt but that was numbed by the shaft drive and the vibration and handling were not up to Honda's usual level.

I had two Versys 1000 a MK 1 & 2 both were superior in almost every respect to the VFR 12. The 12 was not a patch on the Pan European, still have one with just over 10,000 miles on superb.

Ok, well, we're all entitled to our opinions.

I currently have both bikes, and I know which is the best.

The Pan is no lightweight.....just sayin' like.  :164:
