    TIPS ON SETTINGS ?
    on: September 22, 2019, 05:47:06 pm
    September 22, 2019, 05:47:06 pm
Collected new bike yesterday and only done 40 miles as today is typical Manchester weather and not good for my new baby  :008:
Looking for any recommendations on best settings for standard OEM suspension as Ive not touched it yet.
Solo rider with only Topbox no panniers.

    Thanks,
    Geoff

Adjusted rear suspension ruffly about 3 bars down from the hardest set point, as found that with softer suspension setting, rear wheel become bit jumpy.
Did not touch front suspension at all as found quite comfortable.
Same as you, solo rider with top box mostly.
Definitely is worth to modify your seat as well. My one has good  gel pad and anti slippery material and internal heating.

I've never changed the standard settings on the front. On the contrary i've adjusted the rear many times. Its easy ,if it feels soft just turn few times the rear adjuster ,then ride.

For every owner, a different opinion! For me, the stock settings worked fine but then I only commute, mostly dual carriageway.

Recently had my 41000 mile suspension fettled at a suspension specialist and it's much smoother to ride, less tendency for chatter from the front and holds it's cornering lines better (full service + replacement springs in front, refresh of the rear but kept standard).

Isn't that the recommended pressure for a mkII Crossrunner?
