blank plate
on: October 02, 2019, 10:01:36 AM
there is a blank plate to the left of my dash, is it for anything in particular.

and anyone had an issue with moisture in their dash display?
iv only 4k up and there was spots and drops inside mine.
but iv stripped it and resealed it with a little more overthought than honda.

i think it might have just been the pressure washer. but its hopefully fixed now.

As I'm at work and in the car today, a photo would have helped!  :138: :008:

There are a few 2015+ models that I've heard of leaking moisture into the console but not many. I guess yr unlucky and it sounds like you've taken some preventative action too.  :031:
1 VFR simply isnt enough! Crossrunner for commuting, VFR1200F for summer fun.

Took me ages to find what that was. I am thinking about fitting a double USB v12 adapter if I can have it waterproof enough.

I've noticed humidity in my dash only once when it was raining heavily, out of curiosity Hanger17, can you tell me what you did to re-seal it? I'd like to get it sorted before it ends up breaking.
And the Lord said unto John, “Come forth and you will receive eternal life.”
But John came in fifth - and won a toaster.

clocks out, strip the back, remove circuit board, polish screen. checked seal, seemed ok,
i used low strength lockthread to wet the seal and be sticky, thin line all round it.
tightened screws a squeak tighter than they came off. then a line of black tape round the joint(ya cant see it)
the power plug on back is 'vented' as in ya can see past it to inside of board. it needs double checked that the boot is pushed right up in.
iv washed the bike today after 70+ mls in the rain on sunday, and its still dry.

fingers crossed.
