In the 70's I had a skateboard (remember those?) and employed this solution to make the main deck more grippy 😁

Or just use actual skateboard tape. Yes it is a thing and very grippy it is too.

i bust out a testicular hernia lifting my st1300 onto my lazy suzan, about 3 yrs ago.  i didnt notice it straight away, to i bent down to pull a weed out of my drive then thought i'd pee'd myself, it was blood.
i sold it, had an op to sort out my 3rd nut and bought a crossrunner.

i have pics, but i'm not sharing 🤣
if i cared about being judged by a stranger, i'd be religious.

Am the same as above. But I did cut the bottom plate slightly and weld a piece of flat 50mm on the side of down tube so as you put your weight on it it goes under your.sole and doesn't  dig in lot easier  :
