    Hello

Greetings to all forum members from a wet and windy Devon. I am an addicted biker, am 75 years old,  and have been riding bikes since 1962 when I bought my first proper motorcycle, a Norton 650SS. Up until recently I had mainly owned Nortons (not the new jobbies), Velocettes, and Kawasakis. Last November I decided to buy a new Crossrunner and I must say I consider it to be one of the best bikes I have ever owned. I've added a few bits and pieces like Givi handguards, a Scottoiler E chain lubrication system, the Michelin tyre pressure monitoring system, and a Scorpion exhaust. My dealer fitted a front fender extender, a rear hugger, tank protectors, and a centre stand. Finally I must say that in my later years I have become a dry weather rider.

Welcome Sir, you're in a lovely part of the country to enjoy the new dresser.
Back in the late 60's early 70's I used to spend 2-3 weeks of the school summer holidays staying in Tiverton Castle, friends of my parents were caretakers there  :002:

Thank you Gentlemen for your kind 'welcomes'. Yes, CBM, it is a beautiful part of the country but it can be very wet. Keep safe on the roads, Gentlemen.

Thank you SXHighwayman and Skids for your welcomes.
Once biking is in your blood it is there for ever, SXHighwayman. I do own a tin can but it is mainly used for ferrying the wife around. Nowadays biking is for me pure pleasure and I generally go out for rides with no particular destination in mind.
When we get a decent sunny day, Skids, I’ll snap a few photos and upload them. My bike is the same colour as yours but without the top box and panniers. You appear to be quite an asset to the forum and I’ve enjoyed reading many of your posts.
I love being called a ‘Junior Crossrunner’. What ages are Senior Crossrunners?

    Haha, that's only because the members don't know me.  :008: :008: :008:

I too hope I am still able and willing to ride at that age, and beyond. Don't get out enough in the summer just for fun rides anymore and barely putting any miles on the 1200 at all. Will hopefully remedy that this summer with a UK tour.
