    Hello from Kent

Hi, just ordered my Red VFR800X for delivery on Weds next week.

Recently been riding around on a CB500X, great bike. However unfortunately just not ticking enough boxes after a downgrade from 1000cc bike.

Previously had VFRs 750, 800 and an early 800 VTEC, so I hope I'm getting something I find familiar however with a different more upright riding position which is more comfortable as the years go on.

Thanks, that's what I'm hoping for.

Unfortunately all the local demos seem to have recently sold so buying without riding.

    Hi and welcome  :031:.
I also upgraded from a 500X (flood write-off) to a CrossRunner - there's a world of difference and so far mostly for the better (500X has amazing fuel economy).
I bought a dealer demo bike in East Sussex in Feb - so I may have contributed to your problems there too  :164: - sorry about that

    Finally picked her up today.
Honda global ransomware attack and rain still didn't stop play.

    Lovely yet damp ride home.

Excellent. Shame the weather and OEM tyres wont allow you to fully enjoy the experience, but give her some time.  :028: :031:

     :400: Glenwatt…
I traded in my VFR1200x CrossTOURER for the CrossRUNNER last September... the loss in power is noticeable but the CR is around 40k lighter and a lot easier to handle as  it is also lower seat setting and smaller front wheel.
It's a great bike all round, Ive fitted all accessories and went for the satin matte black finish.
Enjoy your new baby, safe riding

    Geoff
