What I really need is a video of me wazzing past at warp factor snot on a tree-lined road somewhere.

I can barely hear it when riding but I can tell it sounds awesome.

Update:

The fuel consumption definitely seems to have improved since I fitted the DAM end can.

Today, the reserve light flashed at 201 miles - never had it flash that high before. Filled up at 203 miles at put 17.95 litres in to full. Dash was indicating 11.3 miles/litre average over the tank. I used to get between 9.5 and 10.5 miles/litre.

It's the same journey as I rode before I fitted the DAM and takes me the same time and if anything, I'm nailing it more often cos the sound combined with the quickshifter is sublime.

So, it would appear that fitting the DAM has significantly improved my fuel consumption, reduced the weight of the bike, improved the smoothness and sounds awesome.  :152:

How useless am I?

I think it would be better accelerating away at high revs through the gears, but that sounds very difficult to organise.

And I don't have a Youtube account.

Search Youtube for "DAM exhaust VFR800" and there's at least 2 fitted to the F model which has an identical engine to the Crossie.

Still sounds better when rolling though.

Check out the VFR1200 with a DAM tho'........ :007:
