Hi Simon and welcome.
The Akra is ok......DAM is better!
Seriously, don't limit yourself to a certain year of bike just to get a can, later models may not have the Akra but the adjustable screen and up front power socket are useful items to have. There are always 2nd-hand cans available too.
Whatever you do, let us know!
98 VFR800 - 130,000 miles, 08 VFR800 - 76,000 miles, 15 VFR800X - 44,000 miles (all sold)
14 VFR1200 - 20,000 miles
18 VFR800X - 16,000 miles
01 VFR800 Fi-1 - 9000 miles

I would be more than happy to change out the can myself, so wouldnt be limiting, i do like the digital dash , hence the 2016 onward bit. Im on the forum now, Once i get one ill be a pest as i don like to "Farkle"

We all like to make them "our" bikes, and you'll get plenty of opinions on here, not least mine.
BTW, the 'new' model of Crossrunner, with the revised engine ala 2014+ VFR800F came out in 2015, not 2016. You can tell the 'new' model from the digital dash, LED headlights and 8-spoke wheels. To help sales, the early releases had Akra cans, centre stand, heated grips and a colour-matched small topbox. I don't know when they stopped those extras as standard, but I'm pretty sure it was 2017. My first Crossie was a 2015 and had all of those, plus I got the dealer to supply an underseat power socket.
There's a lot of very happy Crossrunner owners on here, many of them ex-Trumpet/GS/Duke owners. Hopefully you'll be joining us soon.

Welcome Sir, I tried the Tiger before settling on the Honda and loved it but a nearly new fully optioned Dresser came along. I've had it getting on for 3yrs now and haven't regretted the choice that's for sure.
A life long buddy lived in West Kingsdown until he sadly passed away a few years ago, his place backed onto the Brands GP circuits so he always had the locally issue free season tickets

The more i read on here i think its a good pre-decision to get one.
Yes, we get free brands tickets too, does make up for "having to listen" to the circuit in the garden while having a BBQ with a few beers, its really quite an inconvienice :-)
After finding out list on the tiger is £2800 !!! WTF.... think ill try selling her on privately so end of week she will be tarted up for a photo shoot, hopefully wont hang around too much..... cannot be doing without a bike for too long
Got to take off the bloodrunner stickers though
