    Hi all looking for a bit of advice about pannier lock replacement ,buying a new bike but want to keep old panniers, struggling to get a key cut so looking at barrel change any help would be appreciated.

    I've just had 2 keys cut for the panniers off my 2018 model so what's the issue?
    98 VFR800 - 130,000 miles, 08 VFR800 - 76,000 miles, 15 VFR800X - 44,000 miles (all sold)
    14 VFR1200 - 20,000 miles
    18 VFR800X - 16,000 miles
    01 VFR800 Fi-1 - 9000 miles

    It was just a local lock shop, nowhere special.

    Do you have a blank already?

    No was told a auto locksmith would have to do it

    Only if you want the transponder coding to the ECU but if it's just a pannier key, any decent lock shop should be able to cut it.
