To me the "out of production" part of the news doesn't sound excellent......  :182:
    Stop making sense

I think you can safely assume that's not what I was talking about.  :017:

I can't say I'm surprised, with Euro V looming. The engine is pretty long in the tooth now and there are quite a few alternative new 800-900cc bikes with lots of electronic bells and whistles (one of the reasons I bought my Crossie). I wonder if the VFR is history too?
I fit is Honda should replace it with a 1litre V4 without VTEC but a lot lighter than the 1200. That would beat the current favourite Kawasaki 1000SX in the sport-tourer class.

It's a real shame but inevitable, at least OEM parts will available for all of the future owners of our bikes as we never needed them  :152:

Sadly, the end of the petrol-engine is nigh. Many car manufacturers have already announced that shortly they will not be producing any new petrol-powered cars so the writing is on the wall for our bikes too.

What bugs me is a bike @ Euro4 puts out about .55 kg of co2 over 500km trip, a average passenger jet puts out 10,600kg direct into the atmosphere but no regulations there though.

At least the airline industry is trying to do something about it where as cargo shipping doesn't seem to be bothered. The article in the link below claims emissions from 15 of those mega container ships match those from all the cars in the world. Now that's a stat to make you think  :084:
