I've been using Mapfactor free app for a few years its constantly updated, used on Spain,France and UK tours never had any issues it also gives static speed camera warnings. Good app imo

Can you upload pre planned routes into it?

No need to upload routes all maps are stored in your phone, you just tap in postcodes etc and save each destination of your route in favourites and ride away
Easy to use a always updated over wifi. Also its offline once you download the app and maps so no data used when riding

Ok, the whole point was to be able to upload routes which I had planned, otherwise you go the way the software tells you to go, which is usually quickest or shortest. The newer Sat Nags have x-country options but they often seem to take you down poor roads.
