sonic boom
on: September 20, 2020, 08:08:13 PM
I put a powerbronze screen adjuster kit on my 2016 bike, this is combined with MRA screen with the adjuster screen on the top. so wind noise is much more bearable although there is still a little there, I'm 5'9" tall, I had in highest position and about 3/4 forward, all the way forward created buffeting..
I'd be happy with it except the sonic boom type noise, I have an akrapovic can with baffle insert removed, it proper booms at town speeds, when doing higher speeds it's less noticable.. If I remove my ear plugs I don't get the sonic boom noise but the wind noise off the screen is too much ? ODD ?
From specs the MRA is 420mm tall fully extended, The Givi screen is 555mm so quite a lot taller, not sure if I'll be able to see over it ?, but might have to try one. I hate spending money on screens as if they don't work it's such a waste.

Am I unique or has anyone else experienced the sonic boom.

I am the same height, l have an Ermax screen (which looks good) combined with the Powerbronze adjusters set to mid height and angle, with this set up I have no issues. See image attached for screen.
