Thanks for the tip Paul. Now that you mention, I don't even know what my luggage cover really is so I better look into it. I know I have protected NCD and pillion cover.

There are certainly a lot of variables into the premium which will vary so much on for each individual. In my case, I'm paying extra for nor having a locked garage (the only other option is driveway for most insurers), even if my bike is parked in my back garden with secure access doors and away from public eyes. It's also twice as expensive from my previous bike and both insurance and tax seem to reflect that. Add limited bike experience, living close to London and relatively high annual milleage and the picture starts making sense.

I never had to use the insurance in 14 years of driving and I don't know how good a bad an insurer could be, hopefully will never find out. That's part of the reason I'm saving money on the FC until I can get some more years of experience on two wheels. It keeps me from taking unnecessary risks I guess  :156:
