Got out for first time to get my jab :002:
I noticed the throttle has bad fueling when coming of throttle then back on, hesitation so to speak, mine is a 2020 model.
Maybe just old fuel from last year  :027:
    Any tips welcome :028:
bike has only got 850 miles on the clock :155:

    Hello,

the behaviour is normal when the bike is cold and it happened on the first kilometre. persoanlly I have a roundabout just 200m away from my home and experience this every time when I go around that with low rpm and then try to accelerate out of it.
it should however only happen on the first couple of hundret meters not afterwards.

    Lars

Did this occur continuously for the whole journey or just at the start (and how long was the journey?)

Lars is right, cold fuelling is not very smooth on the VFR, never has been, but if the bike has been sat still for a few months, a good blast may be all she needs.

Yep i will take it for a good blast   :001: next weekend with a  get a fresh tank of fuel and put some miles on the clock,
It was happening for the whole trip about 20 miles.
I took some slack out of the throttle cable but made only a small improvement,
I also have a hissing tank that seems to be a common  issue.

Has the bike had its first service? If the tank hisses it could be that the mechanic trapped the breather, hence the hiss when you open the filler. It might also explain the stuttering if it occurred throughout your ride, which isn’t normal, at least not on my 2019.

i'd agree with the cold start - always takes a bit for the throttle to settle down

Crosspurpose makes a good point. Should not hiss when the fuel cap is opened. I am old enough to remember after market unvented fuel caps that could make  a car fuel tank  collapse through vaccuum.

There are several known cases of post 13 VFR800F tanks collapsing inwards due to a trapped vent hose beneath the tank. It happened to a m8 of mine. One of the symptoms appears to be difficulty in opening the fuel filler cap due to the suction.

I doubt there is any significant difference between the F model and ours so if you are hearing a hiss of air along with a little resistance to opening the fuel filler cap, then lift the tank and try to identify a trapped breather pipe below before your tank collapses.
