Vibrations

I posted here about a year ago about vibrations in every gear even neutral above 3,000 rpm.
I have had some sort of answer from my local Honda dealer. They believe it’s the crash bars! Another bike same age as mine had the same fault. They took the crash bars off and it disappeared. They told me they tried windscreen bonding agent between bars and engine mount. To try and get rid of vibrations. It changed it but didn’t get rid. Has anyone else had something similar or what could I try and stick in between bar and mount to get rid of vibration.
I suppose taking bars off and mounting fog lights another way might be the answer Except I don’t have the bolts that replace the crash bar ones as it was done with dealer before I bought it.
As always any help I receive here is most appreciated.
Thanks everyone

My suggestion would be to try riding without the bars, you probably need only two engine bolts. Those bolts don't have to be Honda ones, just get some 8.8 ones of correct lenght and thread from your local hardwarestore.
Otherwise source some rubber washers to put between frame and bars.
But still I would go for the first option, just to make sure it is the bars.

Good idea. It might not be the bars in my case!!! I shall have a go when I get a chance.
Thanks

That’s interesting. My CR has a vibrates at around 3,000 rpm and on the overrun. It has Honda engine protector bars I had fitted from new. I also have a new NC750X that vibrates since I fitted aftermarket crash bars. Again, this was at lower revs. I have recently removed them and have ordered a different make that hopefully should fit better. The vibration is less, though still present, without the bars. Just to be clear, on neither bike is the vibration excessive and is mostly through the bars with summer gloves on. Both bikes are pretty smooth at higher revs. Let us know how you get on.

I will. What was interesting is that the other bike they had in had a third party make crash bars and mine are Honda ones. Would have liked to think that Honda would have tested things like this before selling them.
I shall post all my findings.
Does anybody know of another way to mount the fog lights without Crash bars?
Cheers
