Lowering the front down on my 2018 VFR800X

Hi, can anybody help me ? I want to lower the front end on my 2018 cross runner and wanted to know how much I can drop the forks safely down and also what torque do I need to tighten the bolts back up.

Can't help you with question 1, but below should be the correct values for question 2.

Thanks for getting back and I really appreciate it. The reason is because I’m only 5ft 5in and I’ve got a dodgy knee and I would feel more comfortable if I could touch the floor properly with both feet. 👍🏍

Have you lowered the rear?

It's easy but I understand that you may want the front lowered too. I can't say how much you can lower the front, have you tried asking a suspension specialist dealer?

If you do end up lowering it, you will find the sidestand is now too long. Luckily, I have an answer for that.....you can swap your OEM sidestand for my adjustable one which came with my bike (which had been lowewred).

Hi, my Mk2 came to me lowered at both ends and with me being long of leg I didn't want that, so I had to buy some original suspension plates for the rear and then  raised the front back to the original spec.
The amount my bike had been lowered at the forks was 25mm.

Before changing my bike back I rode her for a day or two and nothing at the front rubbed or touched 

I did check for any signs of damage when I put it all back

Bear in mind that the side stand may need shortening once you've lowered the bike

They dropped tubes 15mm with rear 30mm. Can't remember the in depth reasoning now. No issiues with side stand on level ground.

Having read the instructions that came with my Lust Lowering Links which lower the rear 30mm, they recommend lowering the front forks through the yokes by 15mm but don't say why.  There is more than enough room to lower by 30mm to match the rear so will ask Mark at MH Racing the reason for this when he does the work on Monday.

This also ties in with the set up Haddo has on his bike.

Hyperpro do a fork spring kit that lowers the front overall by 25mm.... shorter progressive spring and lower forks by 10mm in frame. Rotate rear shock plates and that will overall reduce bike height by about 25mm.
