Aliexpress - radiator & oil cooler guards
on: March 21, 2022, 07:03:55 PM
Has anyone ever ordered anything from AliExpress? And if so what is the quality like?

Been looking at radiator & oil cooler guards but unsure if they will be any good or not!! Can buy both for less than £20 whereas branded ones seem to be £100++ so the AliExpress ones seem too cheap!!

I bought it on Ali. Plus fender. Montage by myself. Little bit adventure  :038:
I am satisfied.

AliExpress is essentially a trading vector for Chinese and Russian goods ranging from branded good quality stuff to absolute tat.  If you know what it is you are buying you can find a bargain, but if something is too cheap it is probably crap.

I would expect guards to be strong enough to protect whatever it is you are buying them for.  If you have no confidence that they are strong enough, then don't waste your money. OTOH for something simple that is not a critical part of the bike, if the price is cheap enough it might be worth a punt.

For what it is worth I bought a Weichi 1900 Timegrapher (a machine for assessing the accuracy and health of mechanical watches) from Ali. What I got was the genuine article that has worked faultlessly and cost me 60% of the UK price.
