Nice selection of bikes, Alan. I had the later disc braked 350 MZ in the mid 1990's but, unfortunately, it proved most unreliable.

Hi clonker99, welcome to the forum. With the demise of the xrunner, how do you think the tracer compares to it? The triple has a good sound with the right can on it.
    Regards

    Hi,
Yes I do like the 900 Tracer, the engine is a peach, brakes better than Crossrunner, part of its joy for me is the very lightweight, (210 kg) Have covered 20k in the last six years.
It was my second bike to a 2010 GS owned ten years and 60k. I like the ride and quality of the Crossrunner, I have 2 issues which may stop it being a keeper, first the very poor fuelling at low revs, 1000 to 3.500 rpm. It’s been back to the dealer who reflashed the ecu, but could ring no faults and considered the bike normal, hoping someone on this forum can offer some advice on this issue. Second, the weight, is a problem and will be in the future.
    Regards Alan.

    Alan

Poor low rev fuelling has always been an issue with VFR's, most of them anyway. There have been various suggested fixes over the years, some of which I have tried on other VFRs and seemed to work.

PAIR delete (complete removal saves a little weight too)
    Flapper mod
    Snorkel removal
    O2 eliminators
Replacement end can for something with greater throughput/less resistance
Non-Honda reflash may be available from Stefan in Holland. He does it remotely to the VFR1200 so no need to travel. Great reports from 1200 owners. He did say he was planning to work on a reflash for the VFR800 but I haven't heard anything yet.

There are ways to lose weight, but it can cost a lot.
